In the summer of 1998, I was out camping with one of my friends and I remember we were outside eating marshmallows with my friend’s parents. I remember that that night we went to sleep very late, telling each other scary stories. When we finally went to bed, I started hearing voices inside my head, but I decided to ignore them because I didn’t want to wake anybody up. The next day I woke up before anybody did, so I decided to make myself some breakfast. When I was making my coffee, I looked outside the window of my friend’s RV. I saw this black silhouette deep into the forest, but couldn’t really see what it was, so I decided to go outside and see if it was a person. When I started to get closer, I saw that the black figure started to go farther and farther.
When I stopped, the black figure stopped, I asked if anybody was there, but nobody responded. When I looked behind me, the figure started running deep into the forest. He was running really weird almost alien-like, after a few seconds he was gone. I got really scared so I decided to go back to the RV where my friend is. When I got back to the RV, everyone was awake, and I told them that I saw someone in the forest. When I told them that, they started to act weird, every time that I would mention that, they changed the conversation.
It started getting dark outside and around midnight my friend and his parents decided to go to sleep, I stayed outside until 1 a.m. to see if I can see the man that I saw before, but I didn’t find anything, so I went to sleep. Around 3 a.m., I saw the same figure in front of the RV, but it had the most red eyes I have ever seen. It was staring directly into my eyes, I could feel my heart pumping out of my chest, I couldn’t move and somehow I fell asleep in the middle of it. When I woke up, I told my friend’s parents about everything, so they decided to go back home. When we were about to leave, the black figure was looking at me from the forest, I told my friend about it, but when he went and looked, it was too late, the black figure was gone.
When I got home, I decided to search the Internet about that forest. I couldn’t find anything until I saw a link talking about ghost sightings, so I decided to click on it. When it came up, there was an image of the black figure I saw in the forest. I started to scroll down and I found that children were missing in that forest. I scrolled a little further down and I saw that apparently there was a 40-year-old man that died there, it said that he took the lives of 10 kids. When I saw that I was in shock, my heart was sticking out of my chest. Since that day, I have never gone back there after 25 years.
