I picked this article because I found it interesting that Amazon would make their
Amazon fresh delivery service free. It seems to me that they will be losing money
for the labor of getting these products and delivering them to all the customers. I
do understand in the perspective of pleasing their Prime members to keep these
members and bring in more.

pay for college? Also, do you think businesses are only trying to help because they would
be able to use the expense as a tax write off?

The article I have chosen is very controversial, discussing the recent ban of the
Alabama abortion law. This ban will ensure that abortion remains legal in
Alabama for the time being. The proposed law would restrict almost all abortions,
even in cases of rape and incest. Even though the law has been blocked for now,
supporters of the law anticipated this and their big picture objective is to bring this
issue back to the Supreme Court in attempts to overturn Roe v. Wade. What do
you guys think about the ban on this Alabama law and how do you think this
issue will continue to develop? Do you expect to see this back in the Supreme
Court eventually?

As you probably know, this is a very emotional issue for many people and is a cause of
contention in contemporary American society.We are not going to resolve the issue in
this class and I hope that all posters will keep in mind that responses should be in the
context of the course: Management and Leadership Principles.
Therefore, think of things like:
– What stakeholder groups could possibly be involved in this and how are various
stakeholders wielding power in this issue?
– What would you do if you were an Alabama base business? How do you think it would
affect your revenue?
– What would you do if you were an out-of-state organization considering vendors, some
of which are located in Alabama?
– What affect, if any, do you think this law will have upon business and consumer travel?
– Do you think this law, if sustained, will result in worker migration out of the state?
Approach this discussion as business majors and think of what managers and leaders
need to be thinking about.
